the story

Every element of this large wooden serving tray is crafted to emphasise the unique and elegant motifs that distinguish it. Similar to its counterpart, UNA, which is adorned with the Konjic rose pattern, UMA showcases the “Rešma” design, highlighting another beautiful tradition of Bosnian woodcarving.

Artisan Seid puts it best: “The process of crafting UMA involves a careful connection to our heritage. Each “Rešma” pattern I carve is a tribute to the enduring craftsmanship of Bosnian woodcarving, preserving a legacy through each detail. It’s beautifully fulfilling to create pieces that bring the spirit of our culture into homes across the world.”

With its deliberate shape and detailed craftsmanship, UMA stands out effortlessly. Whether used for hosting elegant dinners or casual gatherings, this tray embodies the timeless values of Konjic woodcarving, making it a functional and beautiful addition to any occasion.

DESIGN

UMA truly bears a dual design, with one half crafted from responsibly sourced walnut and the other from a light variant of ash. The board’s surface is finely sanded to achieve a soft, inviting feel and treated with oils to highlight the wood’s natural grain and colour. The traditional woodcarving details, featuring the “Rešma” pattern, provide a rare and enchanting visual appeal, making UMA a unique and cherished addition to any home.

Special products for those who appreciate hand craftsmanship

I’ve bought Waga products twice now, both times directly from the online store. The first time was for a Christmas present for a friend who makes amazing cakes. I chose the Kralj cake stand, thinking it would complement her creations perfectly, and she absolutely loved it. Then, for my birthday, I received the Sahar storage box as a gift, and its craftsmanship blew me away—it’s truly a work of art. Just recently, I added two serving boards to my personal collection: Mona and Nora. They both elevate the experience of hosting guests beautifully. The products were safely packed and shipped to my home in Germany.
